The Parx
The Parx has consistently been one of the first Pennsylvania casinos to launch gambling services following state gambling expansion bills. They have already launched sports betting (Jan 8th), online sports betting (June 27th), and now they have plans to launch an online poker room (mid-summer 2019), in addition to their online casino launching Monday. The Parx is one of the biggest casinos in Pennsylvania. The property holds a horse race track, 3500 slot machines, 130 live table games, and a gaming area of more than 260,000 square feet.
Online the Parx website has stated that will be offering slots, blackjack, roulette, video poker, craps, baccarat, and live dealer games from their online casino platform. They also released a statement on their website stating that they will soon be adding 100’s of slots, classic slots, video slots, and progressive jackpot slot titles.
The Parx launched their online sportsbook on June 27th to state residents and visitors within state lines. Eventually, they want to integrate their online casino and online sportsbook, but for now, they will be stand-alone ventures.
Hollywood Casino
Hollywood Casino has teamed up with IGT, a major player in the online slots gaming world. Hollywood Casino is not located in a major city, therefore, the online casino can bring in substantial revenue for the casino.
Hollywood Casino was the first domestic sportsbook to launch in the state of Pennsylvania. Since then, they have not been able to release an online service, but they have commissioned a sports betting app with William Hill.
Online Gambling Age In PA
Pennsylvania gambling laws allow residents and visitors over the age of 21 to gamble online within state lines. Residents over the age of 18 can make pari-mutual wagers at racinos and race tracks.
