The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon in Bakersfield, California, will host a ceremonial service to mark the completion of construction.
The Tejon tribe and Hard Rock International are holding a ceremony next week to celebrate the progress made on the new casino project. The ceremony will include a construction tradition in which the last beam is lowered into place, marking the end of the building phase.
Phase 1 of the project includes the construction of the 150,000-square-foot casino. Officials also stated that 3,000 slot machines, 48 table games, multiple dining facilities, and beverage venues are included in this phase.
Phase 2 of the project will include constructing a 400-room hotel, a 2,800-seat event center, extra casino space, more dining facilities, a pool, gym, and spa. The new casino in Bakersfield is expected to bring 3,000 jobs to the community and is expected to open its doors in 2025.
