Three Las Vegas casinos are preparing to strike at the start of Super Bowl week in Las Vegas. The Golden Nugget, Downtown Grand, and Virgin Las Vegas workers disagreed with the Culinary Workers Union.
The strike deadline is February 5th, 2024, and the Union has already scheduled picket shifts in downtown Las Vegas. The Culinary Union has 60,000 members and is the most significant Union in Nevada.
Over the years, the Culinary Union has helped facilitate fair wages for food industry workers and bartenders. Late last year, the Union agreed to terms with Circus Circus, Sahara Las Vegas, the Strat, Circa Resort, and the El Cortez.
